Real estate manager sees changes in leadership

C-III Asset Management, a wholly owned subsidiary of C-III Capital Partners, made a leadership changeover in which a new president will take on the role at the same time its current president departs from the position. The firm’s leadership includes Andrew Farkas, Chairman and CEO.

Long time C-III executive Barry Davis, who has served as chief operating officer since 2011, has been appointed president effective immediately, according to a story, which can be found at

Kevin Donahue, who joined the company in 2012, departs his role as president and senior managing director to switch to an advisory role and give more of his attention and time to his family. While Donahue did not respond to requests for comment, the story stated he plans to reenergize and continue to maintain an effective role in the industry.

Frank Garrison, C-III Capital Partners president, commented in a release, that the company values Donahue’s involvement and his leadership which made it easier to guide the way for the firm through a particularly demanding time of transformation and expansion.

Garrison also pointed out how pleased the company is to have someone of Davis’ skill to effortlessly take on the role of president. He added Davis’ industry know-how and expertise will help the company’s advancement and future outlook.

Davis joined C-III in 2010 subsequent to the company’s purchase of Centerline’s servicing business. At C-III he was responsible for supplying assistance to not only the company’s servicing platform but also working with rating agencies and bondholders as well as senior management.

Davis, along with senior managing director Lindsey Wright and general counsel Jenna Unell, will form C-III’s executive management team and maintain the daily business actions as well as work to support a seamless changeover.

Prior to joining C-III, Davis was chief operating officer of a regional multi-family developer as well as chief operating officer of a commercial real estate origination business affiliated with Allied Capital. He also worked for Banc One and additional companies that include Orix Capital Markets and Bonnet Resources.

Davis received a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree in finance from the University of Texas.

The privately-held C-III Asset Management firm is a special servicer for more than $40 billion and the primary servicer for almost $6 billion of commercial real estate loans.
